Dr David Eedy

Since 1991 Dr Eedy has been a Consultant Dermatologist for the Craigavon Area Hospital Group Trust in Northern Ireland.  He began his medical career at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast, after studying at Queens University in Belfast.

He later worked at St Johns Dermatology Centre at St Thomas’ Hospital, London, where he developed an interest in dermatological surgery that has continued to become his main subspecialty interest.  As a Consultant in Craigavon he has developed a surgical dermatology service, including Mohs’ micrographic surgery, which has continued to expand and is constantly in demand.

He is Honorary Secretary, British Association of Dermatologists,Fellow Royal Society of Medicine, Fellow Royal College of Physicians (London) and Fellow American Academy of Dermatology as well as many other learned societies around the world.

Dr Eedy has written a major textbook on Surgical Dermatology, an author to Rook’s Textbook of dermatology as well as some 100 original articles, editorials and review articles.
