Miss Claire O’Kane

Claire qualified as a Podiatric Surgeon in April 2000 and took up a specialist registrar post in Ilkeston Hospital, Derbyshire, England where she was appointed a Consultant Podiatric Surgeon in Oct 2003.

In March 2007 Claire began working privately in Hillsborough Private Clinic in Co. Down where she continues to work.

Claire has published papers on the surgical correction of Hallux Valgus, the long term outcome of hammer toe correction, fusion of the 2^nd metatarsal cuneiform joint, the results of amputations of the 2^nd toe and also on the surgical management of central metatarsalgia.

Claire is an independent prescriber and lectures on the use of corticosteroid injections to Podiatrists and oversees their mentorship.
